Sorry for the downtime at POTB and other sites yesterday; after 13 days working in a row, I took the weekend off, and sure enough when I came back I found MySQL had died and didn’t restart yesterday morning. Anyway, trying to find the problem at the moment, but all looks okay so far…

My colleague Brendan Smith has started a new blog at speedie.galwaycity.com entitled “Insights on Galway Life”.
It makes for interesting reading so far - the premise is that each week, Brendan will publish a photograph on different aspects of life in the city, with good, bad and unusual pictures each week!
