Aha! Now I see the small print. The Paris CDG flight flies via the Isle of Man, so that explains where that flight came from.
Looking at their timetables again, it’s handy that you can fly to London City from Galway in the morning and back again in the evening.
Yeah, the Isle of Man. I vaguely remember something about direct flights to Jersey from Galway , some time in the late 1990s, so it’s not a huge novelty. However we have to get over this sense that it’s fantastic to have an airport in Galway and it’s some sort of a novelty to be able to fly to a destination from there. Chamber of Commerce used to be very active in its campaign to have a decent roster of destinations - people of Galway need to follow suit and lobby harder to make the city (and county) easier to get to by air.
Do you have details fo flights from Galway to Isle of Man?
