Egad, RTE are on shortwave and no one told me!
Times of RTE’s shortwave transmissions of the “News at Six-Thirty” have been moved forward one hour to take account of summer time changes across the world. The bulletin is now broadcast on 12160 kHz at 18:30 UTC/GMT from Monday to Friday, 19:00 UTC/GMT on Saturday, and 20:00 UTC/GMT on Sunday (North and South America, Europe and Africa).

RTE are now off the short wave band affection hundreds of thousands of Irish people around the world plus many more that have an interest in things Irish. It is important that we lead a campaign to get it back on shortwave in a year that RTE made a profit of over 20 million euro. So please, please send an e-mail to hearus@rte.ie to ask them to return to the short wave for the benefit of the milllions of Irish and their friends around the world!
